Complete your online induction training

Before you start your programme, you will need to complete Lancaster’s pre-arrival online induction courses designed to prepare you for university life.

As part of becoming a registered student at the University, you are asked to complete a range of online courses to help you settle in and understand what makes Lancaster special.

What you need to know

Training overview

  • What: Seven online modules covering our community values and expectations
  • When: Complete by 29 September (after you've registered but before you arrive at university)
  • Length: About 2 hours 30 minutes total - you can break this training into smaller sessions by saving your progress and returning anytime.

  3. Start your training modules at your own pace

Required training modules

Tackling Harassment and Sexual Misconduct

Creating a safe, respectful environment is important to all of us at Lancaster. This training will help you understand how to support yourself and others in the University community. You will learn:

  • How to recognise different types of harassment and misconduct
  • Ways to safely help when you see concerning behaviour
  • How to access support if you need it
  • Understanding consent in relationships

Consent Matters

Building healthy relationships and communication skills is part of university life. This course is designed to help you communicate consent within your relationships. You will learn:

  • What consent is and why it is important
  • Communication skills for relationships
  • How to look out for others
