An introduction the Anaesthesia Associate role.

Anaesthesia Associate is a medical associate professions role in the NHS. They are a key part of patient care throughout the peri-operative pathway.

The role is great opportunity to progress in a clinical role for ODPs, Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Scientists, and similar roles. It is also a great career step for those holding a degree in Biomedicine or Biomedical Science.

The Royal College of Anaesthetists has projected that by 2040 there will be a shortfall of approximately 11,000 Anaesthetists, equating to 8 million anaesthetic-reliant operations that would be unable to happen.

By becoming an Anaesthesia Associate, you would be playing an essential role in both clearing the current backlog of operations across the NHS, and preparing the NHS for the future.

This free event is a way to find out more about the programme, how to apply, and the commitment necessary to qualify.
