Event Details

We would like to invite you to join us to celebrate Cartmel's 50th Anniversary for a weekend of celebrations. It's a great opportunity to come back to campus with 'old' friends and reminisce.

The main event will be our Drinks Reception and Gala Dinner on Saturday 5th May. Celebrate with us at Barker House Farm: enjoy a sparkling drinks reception from 18.30, followed by a three course dinner with wine. Throughout the evening we will have speeches from special guests, live music, Cartmel's very own Magician Sam Fitton, and dancing till late to a live band.


Ticket Prices for the Gala Dinner on Saturday 5th May:

  • Early bird group ticket £35 per person (minimum of 4 people), book before 19th March to get the early bird ticket price. Thereafter, tickets are £40 per person (minimum of 4 people to qualify for group rate). Maximum 10 per table.
  • Early bird individual ticket £40 per person, book before 19th March to get the early bird ticket price. Thereafter, tickets are £45 per person.


Gala Dinner Dress Code: Black Tie / Smart Evening Wear (optional). Please note that the evening's events are not suitable for children under the age of 16.

Make a weekend of it and join us for the rest of the optional celebrations listed below. These are bookable when you purchase a ticket to the Gala Dinner.
The reunion is taking place on Roses weekend. The campus will be bustling with activity.

Friday 4th May:
  • 17.00: Roses Opening Ceremony. Limited tickets: first come, first served and subject to availability, bookable upon registration.

  • 19.00-20.30: Principal's Reception for Cartmel Alumni. Join Principals past and present in the Private Dining Room in County South (old Cartmel), and take a trip down memory lane in old Cartmel Bar (now County bar).

  • 21.00–Late: Darts tournament, Old Boys vs current team in Barker House Farm.
Saturday 5th May:
  • Roses Events and Fixtures going on all day – timetable to be confirmed.

  • 11.00–15.00: Roses Alumni Drinks Reception. Cartmel Alumni are invited to the alumni reception free of charge as part of their weekend package.  Join us for sparkling wine and fruit pots and receive your free Roses Supporter's Pack. (Please note booking is essential. Tickets are limited and subject to availability).

  • During the day there will also be Tours of the Campus and a Tour of the Wind Turbine. Please contact the college to book and for further details.

  • 18.30: Drinks Reception Followed by Gala Dinner in Barker House Farm. Special guests, music and dancing till late.
Sunday 6th May:
  • Roses fixtures all day - timetable to be confirmed.

Lancaster House Hotel on campus and various accommodation options are also available in and around Lancaster.
