Event Details
Dr Ken Shawa will present the main findings of his PhD looking at health shocks and labour market outcomes in Malawi.
Health is a critical determinant of labour market participation, productivity and economic well-being, yet evidence on the labour market consequences of ill health and health shocks in low- and middle-income countries remains limited. Dr Ken Shawa will present findings from his doctoral research that examines the effects of ill health and health shocks on employment outcomes and labour supply, with a particular focus on Malawi.
