As the university sector had expanded, dissatisfaction has grown. Have universities lost their way and where does their future lie?
In their new book ‘The University Challenge’ the Rt Hon Charles Clarke (Visiting Professor PPR and former Education Secretary ) and Prof. Ed Byrne (VC of Kings College London) tackle the issues head on.
The ISF warmly welcomes you to the launch party, with short talks including Distinguished Prof Tony McEnery (LAEL and former Chief Exec of ESRC). Followed by a panel discussion: ‘What’s Wrong with Universities and How Do We Fix It? where the authors will be joined by Dr Annette Bramley (Director N8 Research Partnership) and Dr Shuruq Naguib (Lecturer in Islamic Studies) chaired by Dame Sue Black.
Book Launch: Room C036, Physics Building, 17:00 - 18:00
Panel Discussion: Cavendish Colloquium, Faraday Building, 18:00 - 19:30
