What to expect
The first thing you will do is to complete your HR Onboarding in Human Resources. You will also be supplied with your University ID card, information on Payroll and Pensions, as well as other relevant guidance.
Your new Manager will be in contact with you before you start to ensure your transition is going smoothly and will inform you of what will happen on your first day. If you have any queries or questions, please contact your manager in the first instance, and they will be happy to help. On your first day, your Manager will begin your orientation to your new role and introduce you to your new team. You'll meet many key contacts and have time to find out what they do, and how that will affect your role.
You are given time on your first day (or within your first week) to complete the Mandatory training required. You can find the Mandatory Training on the Staff Development site.
Your Manager will also support you in beginning to complete the New Starter Induction Checklist, which will help you to settle into your new role. This checklist will help you to guarantee you complete all the necessary tasks as you begin your new role.
