£2 single bus fares until 31 December 2024

The Government’s £2 per journey cap on single bus fares has been extended until 31 December 2024. The programme, which was introduced in early 2023, had been planned to expire at the end of June 2023 but will now run until the end of 2024.

Single bus fares have been capped at £2 for a wide variety of destinations across Lancashire and Cumbria with the aim of encouraging passengers to reduce car use, improve air quality in towns and stretch their money a little further. Find out more about Stagecoach fare cap exclusions.
