To help with the final part of your journey, we are offering transport from Manchester airport to Lancaster University campus on the following dates in 2025:
- Saturday 12 July - Pre-Sessional English (10 week course)
- Saturday 30 August - Pre-Sessional English (4 week course)
- Saturday 13 September - Study Start
- Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 September - Main Arrivals

About the service
- Bookings for this service are currently free of charge but this is being reviewed and may change from August 2025.
- Transport between Manchester Airport and Lancaster University campus will be in the form of coaches, meaning that you will travel with other students.
- Each student must book their own space – please do not book a space on behalf of a friend. You can book up to 2 spaces for guests who do not attend the university if they are accompanying you on your arrival to campus. These must be booked at the time of your booking.
- You will need your email address and College name in order to make a booking.
- You can bring 2 pieces of hold luggage (i.e. 2 suitcases) and 1 piece of hand luggage.
- Student Ambassadors from Lancaster University will be positioned at a meeting point in Manchester Airport and will escort you to the coach.
- The travel time from the airport to campus is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
- If you miss your transfer please contact us and we will try to arrange an alternative time or method. However, if you contact us more than 2 hours after the last advertised shuttle time we will be unable to provide transport and will refer you to public transport services.
