Bridget O'Connor

Bridget won a posthumous BAFTA in 2012 with her husband Peter Straughan

Bridget O’Connor, English and Creative Writing, 1982 (Grizedale), who co-wrote the screenplay of the film ‘Tinker Taylor Soldier Spy’ with her husband Peter Straughan, won a posthumous BAFTA in 2012.  The couple turned John Le Carre's classic Cold War novel 'Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy' into a screenplay, but Bridget sadly died in October 2010 before filming began and the finished film is dedicated to her.
