Launch of British Council Alumni Network in New York

This new network will give alumni an opportunity to attend more alumni events in New York and help to foster a wider network of like-minded individuals. Lancaster is one of seven educational institutions who have signed up to this pilot scheme which will run until September 2016.  Other taking part are: Brunel University London, Durham University, the University of East Anglia, Northumbria University, Ravensbourne and the University of Sussex.  

There will be a mixture of professional networking events and social events and the first event will take place on Thursday 28 January 2016 with a finance industry theme at the British Consulate General, New York https://www.eventbrite.com/e/education-uk-alumni-network-tickets-19857577549

Themes for successive events are as follows:

February - Fashion industry event and networking
March 3 - Education UK Alumni Gala 2016 
April - Non-profit industry event and networking 
May - Higher education industry event and networking
June - Creative industries event and networking
June - Pre-departure event for students who will start Lancaster in October 2016: alumni welcome to give advice!
