Lancaster University has won the Best University Halls Award at the 2019 National Student Housing Awards.

The annual awards are based on direct feedback from more than 40,000 students across 200 universities and colleges.

It is the eighth time Lancaster has been awarded the title of ‘Best University Halls’ since first entering the National Student Housing Survey in 2010.

This year, Lancaster’s accommodation was also shortlisted in five further categories: Best Customer Service, Best Value for Money, Best Student Wellbeing, Best Booking Experience and Best Specialist Accommodation for its postgraduate residences in Graduate College.

Candace Davies, Head of Accommodation at Lancaster University, said: “This award is a great tribute to the hard work our fantastic team of staff carry out to deliver the best accommodation experience for our students.

“We really appreciate the time that everyone has taken to give us feedback by completing this survey. It is vital information that keeps us in touch with what our students want from their time living on campus.”

The National Student Housing Awards is managed by Red Brick Research, an independent market research and business intelligence agency.
