Introduction

The Management School Excellence Scholarship offers a range of awards to both home and international fee-paying students who are applying to study a taught postgraduate master’s programme offered full time, on campus, starting in 2026.

Who is eligible?

You will automatically be considered for this scholarship if you:

• achieve, or already hold, a 1st (home and international), 2:1 or 2:2 (international) degree in your undergraduate studies (to include equivalent classifications)
• accept a conditional or unconditional offer from Lancaster University for 2026 entry

What will I pay?

The scholarship amount awarded varies by the programme fee level and the grade of your undergraduate degree at the point of entry. You can see what the fee is for your programme under the ‘fees and funding’ header on the relevant programme page.

The table below shows each of our fee levels for international fee-paying students, without any scholarship applied, and how much you will pay after being awarded the scholarship.

How to apply

There is no separate application process for this scholarship. Eligible students will be identified automatically through their application.

The scholarship will be awarded when you meet the conditions of your offer, or when you accept your unconditional offer.

Payment of the scholarship

The value of the award will be confirmed when your offer is made unconditional and will be awarded as a tuition fee reduction.

Combining scholarship awards

• If an applicant is eligible for both awards, this scholarship can be combined with the Alumni Loyalty Scholarship.
• If successfully awarded a named departmental scholarship, it can be combined with this scholarship.
• This scholarship cannot be combined with the International Regional Scholarship – Postgraduate.
