You will be automatically considered for this funding when you apply
This Scholarship or bursary is for applicants joining Lancaster University in October 2024. We review our scholarships and bursaries each year, and cannot guarantee this funding will be available for applicants who decide to defer their place.
If you are starting in 2024, you will qualify for a Lancaster University Bursary of £1,000 in each year of your studies if:
- You are an undergraduate applicant who meets eligibility for UK Government funding support, and your application to Student Finance/SAAS has been income-assessed.
- You have a household income of less than £30,000.
When will bursaries be confirmed?
Bursaries are normally confirmed around the middle of October. Lancaster will send an email to your Lancaster email address from email@example.com.
Awards are paid directly into a bank account that you nominate via an online process. We will send details of how to do this via email. Each award will be made in two equal instalments paid in November and February.
Can I receive a bursary for each year of my course?
You can receive a Lancaster Bursary for each year of study, providing that the assessed household income remains under the threshold of £30,000. You are not eligible to receive the Lancaster Bursary for any repeated years of study.
You can find examples of award entitlement on our award entitlement pages.
Lancaster University reserves the right to withdraw this scholarship or bursary if award holders are subsequently found to be ineligible or if the terms and conditions of the scholarship are not adhered to.
Our student funding team can help with questions about scholarships and bursaries as well as other general enquiries about applying to Lancaster University.
