Attractive pedestrian routes onto campus
From both the north and south side of the University, car-free pedestrian routes provide direct, quiet and attractive access onto campus.
The main University cycle route from the north provides a very popular off-road walking route into campus. From the south, Chapel Lane provide a peaceful and pleasant walking route from Galgate.
The forthcoming Health Innovation Campus will provide a new walking and cycling route onto HIC and the rest of the University.
Free parking for staff who walk to work
Did you know that staff who commute to work by foot throughout the year, and therefore do not require a parking permit, can obtain up to 15 free one-day parking scratchcards? These free parking permits can come in handy for those days when you need to bring your car to work or when it's raining and you just don't want to get wet!
This is offered as part of the staff Flexible Benefits scheme to encourage more of our staff to walk to work.Flexible Benefits
