Campus Accessibility and Parking

Tab Content: Parking

If you are a student wishing to apply for a parking permit on the grounds of a disability or health condition you must register with the Disability and Inclusive Practice Service. We will liaise with the Parking Office to ensure an appropriate judgement is reached. If we make a recommendation you will then need to complete the parking application on the parking website. You will need to reapply every year.

We have accessible parking spaces for use by guests who hold a blue badge. If you need other assistance with parking please contact the parking office.

Tab Content: Accessibility

Accessibility on campus is managed by our Facilities team. If you find a fault on campus or in your accommodation you should report this to the facilities team.

To find out the most accessible routes on campus you can use AccessAble. This website allows you to check for accessible toilets, lifts, and other features which will ease your time on campus.

Lancaster University uses a collegiate system, so we have a range of rooms across campus including adapted and en-suite rooms. If you have any specific requirements due to your disability (e.g. a fridge for medicine) please let us know so we can advise you.

If you require adaptations to make your accommodation accessible because of a disability please let us know. It can take time to make changes to rooms, so please let us know by registering with our service. If you wish to view an adapted room please contact the central Accommodation Team. If you wish to view an adapted room please contact the central Accommodation Team. Find out more about the university's adapted accommodation.

If you have guests who require accessible accommodation, you can book this via the Lancaster Conferences website.

Lancaster University will always try to consider your needs and preferences, but we cannot guarantee to give you your first choice of accommodation.
