A week long Contemporary Craft Fair opens at The Ruskin on 11 December, alongside a new museum shop.
Crafts
The Contemporary Craft Fair, open daily until 17 December, will feature the work of individuals, partnerships and small businesses whose products connect us to the possibilities of modern craft, including: Laura Rosenzweig’s beautifully designed throws, scarves and socks, in 100% British wool yarns; chopping boards and more by Waters & Acland, award-winning cabinet makers; contemporary acrylic jewellery by Sarah Packington; and elegant ceramics by emerging ceramic artist, Lanty Ball – and much more.
These talented artists, artisans and producers also embody some of Ruskin’s ideas about making which feel so relevant to twenty-first century living - such as sustainability, localism, and finding beauty in everyday life.
Museum Shop
The Ruskin's new museum shop, also opening on 11 December, will sell a range of exclusive products from the Ruskin Whitehouse Collection alongside inspired gifts and thoughtfully created handmade goods.
Weekend Opening
Both the shop and the Contemporary Craft Fair will be open over the weekend of 14 and 15 December alongside The Ruskin's galleries, creating a great opportunity to enjoy the exhibition 'Ruskin: Museum of the Near Future' and find the perfect Christmas gift.
