Seminar on Global Life and Death in Viral Times with Professor Matthew Paterson, School of Social Sciences, Manchester

An inter-disciplinary seminar series that addresses questions posed by an event that transforms all aspects of life and death. It ranges across the most personal and intimate existential questions of fragility and vulnerability in a global emergency, to the changing nature of work, sociality and connectivity in an age of ‘zoom’ and ‘teams’, through to questions about international relations, the global economy, and covid’s relation to existing challenges of inequality, climate change and populism.
