Live webinar open to Lancaster MBA applicants and alumni of the Lancaster MBA programmes.

Lancaster MBA applicants and alumni are invited to join a webinar with Steve Kempster, Professor of Leadership Learning and Development.

The talk will seek to outline the necessity of the case for business to address the conundrum of our time: how can business value be aligned with enhancing humanity? Steve will unpack the complexity of addressing this question, but also illustrate tools and examples of how businesses are reframing the notion of business and value and enhancing society.

Format: Live webinar via Zoom, with speaker presentation followed by Q&A and opportunity for participant networking. The presentation will be recorded and available to alumni not able to join the live event, please contact lumsalumni@lancaster.ac.uk for details.

Speaker bio: Steve Kempster is Professor of Leadership Learning and Development at Lancaster University Management School. He has published widely, including five books on topics such as how managers learn to lead, purpose and leadership, and responsible leadership.

Steve leads an international group of colleagues exploring how responsible leadership can be realised – known as ‘The Good Dividends’. A book entitled ‘Good Dividends: Responsible Leadership of Business Purpose’ has captured the group’s work and has been recently published. Steve may be better known to alumni as the Full-time MBA Director (1998-2003) or as a tutor teaching leadership on both the Full-time MBA and EMBA for the last 20 years.
