Registration

Registration is the process of becoming an official member of the University. We will help you through it with step-by-step guidance and access to support.

Step 1: Online registration

About a month before your programme starts, you’ll receive an email that invites you to register online and links you to the Registration Centre which you will log into with your Friend account.

You can also use this link to the Registration Centre, but please note that you won’t be able to access the Registration Centre until you’re due to register online about a month before your programme starts.

During the online registration process, you will then be asked to complete the following steps:

1. Confirm your details

Check your personal and emergency contact details, confirm your previous qualifications, and read and accept the University’s terms andconditions.

2. Set up and secure your IT account

Confirm your personal details, generate your student IT username, and immediately set up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to secure your account.

3. Upload your ID photo

Upload a clear passport-style photo for your University Card.

4. Provide proof of identity

Upload any requested identification documents.

If applicable: Complete module enrolment

Select or confirm your academic modules if your specific programme requires online enrolment. For any queries about your programme or modules, you should contact your department.

Step 2: Final checks on campus

Once a staff member approves your online details, you just need to complete your final steps when you arrive:

  • Commuter students and UK postgraduates: Attend a UK Student Check-in to complete your arrival confirmation and collect your ID card. You should book your appointment in advance.
  • International students: Attend an International Student Check-In to confirm your arrival on campus and collect your ID card. You should book your appointment in advance.
  • Home students living on campus: Present your ID to your college during accommodation move-in to confirm your arrival and receive your ID card. If you don't receive your ID card at college move-in you will need to book an appointment to collect your card from the LICA building.
