Peer Mentoring

Peer Mentoring is an opportunity to connect with an experienced Lancaster student, either online or in person, who can help you with any pastoral issues or challenges you might be facing. You can participate in Peer Mentoring at any stage in your studies, and mentors are trained to support you with a range of concerns.

What is a peer mentor?

  • Pastoral support from an experienced Lancaster student
  • A point of contact for questions about university life.
  • Someone who can listen to and discuss relevant issues.
  • Someone who can share how they have overcome challenges associated with being at university.

“I was asked what I wanted to get from the mentoring experience at the beginning; the sessions were tailored towards me personally.” (participant)
