Numerical modeling of the solar wind interaction with Mars based on multiple fluid MHD method

Due to the fact that the intrinsic magnetic field is absent on Mars, it is of importance to study the solar wind interaction with Mars and the consequent Martian outer space plasma environment. Our study aims on modeling the process of solar wind interaction with Mars by using a global multiple fluid method, in conjunction with the ionospheric ion chemical reactions and the induced magnetic equation. Several significant effects, including Hall effect, entire Mars rotation and crustal field on Mars, would be considered in the model.
