LUMS roofing repair works to take place

Lancaster University Management School

A project of works is planned to provide essential repair works to the Lancaster University Management School (LUMS) roof. The works will commence from Monday 17th April and are due to complete in late September 2023, and will improve the efficiency of the building and ensure that it remains watertight.

The project will be non-invasive for building users, with the majority or works taking place to the outside of the LUMS building. Some construction staff will require access to the building throughout the project, but they will only maintain a minimal presence.

A works compound will be installed on Grizedale Avenue which will remain in place throughout the duration of the project. The compound will occupy all standard parking spaces on Grizedale Avenue, although two disabled bays will remain in use and access for deliveries will be maintained.

Access scaffolding and perimeter fencing will be in place throughout the works period, however the building will remain open and operational as usual.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused by these roofing works. If you require further information in relation to this project please direct enquires to the Facilities Communications inbox: facilitiescommunication@lancaster.ac.uk.
