Disability Service & Accessibility

The Disability Service work with teams across the institution to ensure that the campus is accessible to all students.

If you are finding it difficult to access facilities on your course of study, or you have any needs or concerns about campus accommodation due to a medical condition, then please let us know. We can work with your Department or the Accommodation team to help to find the best solution for you.

If you have encountered a specific maintenance or buildings issue affecting accessibility, you can report it directly to Facilities here.

The University work with AccessAble to provide access guides to various part of the University campus, which detail key access information including accessible routes, facilities and parking information.

You can keep up to date with all campus activities and developments which affect accessibility through the Disability Service Moodle page.

Accessible parking is available across campus: for one-off visits, Blue Badges will suffice. There are accessible parking spaces all around campus - see campus map - but for regular parking an Accessible Permit is required. To apply for this permit, please visit the car parking website.

Accessible accommodation

At Lancaster University we have a range of accommodation, including adapted and en suite rooms. As we have a collegiate structure, there is accommodation across the campus. If you have particular accommodation requirements, we recommend that you let us know about this as early as possible before coming to University. You can find out more about our accommodation here.

For visitors, there are also accessible guest rooms available. Find out more about guests room options here.
