Our theme for 2017 is Global Challenges. Join us for departmental talks, PhD student talks, poster competitions and our special guest speaker.

Special Guest Speaker

Professor Jacqueline Myriam McGlade, a British-born Canadian marine biologist and environmental informatics researcher.

Global Challenges: Linking Theoretical Ecology, Spatial Dynamics, Ecosystems and Science-policy

Professor Jacqueline McGlade is a marine biologist and environmental informatics professor. Her research focuses on ecosystems, climate change and scenario development. Her work into dynamics and systems has led to innovations in understanding a variety of ecosystem dynamics. In the past, she was Executive Director of the European Environment Agency and recently she was the Chief Scientist of the United Nations Environment Programme, based in Nairobi. She is a Professor of Environmental Informatics at University College London.

Throughout the day seven academics representing the full range of the Faculty's research will give lectures.

PhD Student Talks

Join PhD students as they take the 3-minute challenge to present their research.
