Research Overview

Yingtao Tian received BEng & MEng in Welding Science and Technology from Harbin Institute of Technology, China, and PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Loughborough University in 2010. He then worked in a researcher role in Loughborough University, Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, Univresity of Birmingham and University of Manchester. Since 2018, he joined the Department of Engineering at Lancaster University as a Lecturer and his research interests focus on advanced laser materials processing, additive manufacturing, welding and joining of advanced materials, and digital manufacturing etc.
