Fees and Funding
Our annual tuition fee is set for a 12-month session, starting in the October of your year of study.

Undergraduate tuition fees
For students starting at the University for the 2020 session, subsequent year’s fees may be
subject to increases. UK fees are set by the UK Government annually. For international
applicants, any annual increase will be capped at 4% of the previous year’s fee. For more

Applicants from the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man
Some science and medicine courses have higher fees for students from the Channel Islands and the
Isle of Man. You can find more information about this on our

Students will require clothing for practical classes, especially dance classes such as track suit trousers, sweatshirts etc. and will be required to buy or hire costumes and props for their performances. Students will also need to purchase tickets to see professional performances at Lancaster Arts and, very occasionally venues further afield. The purchase of DVDs may also be required if unable to borrow them from the library during vacations. Criminal record Bureau checks may also be necessary if students undertake projects with school groups.
Students will require the following basic items:
- A digital camera with removable memory card – not with internal memory.
- A pen drive with at least 1gb memory
- A Stanley knife or scalpel
- General purpose scissors
- A box of pencils, 2H to 6B inclusive
- A variety of brushes
- A padlock (we supply you with a steel locker)
- A hardback student quality sketchbook (A3 or A4)
Students will also need student grade acrylic and oil paints as well as specialist tools and materials as they begin to specialise. Please refer to the Department for more detailed information.
Students also need to consider further costs which may include books, stationery, printing, photocopying, binding and general subsistence on trips and visits. Following graduation it may be necessary to take out subscriptions to professional bodies and to buy business attire for job interviews.
