The need for sustainable development is a global concern. This scheme is based on our MA/MSc in Environment and Development and aims to prepare you to address the challenges faced in safeguarding the planet’s ecosystems while improving the environments of impoverished communities.
The scheme has a broad choice of both environmental and development modules, taught by staff who are internationally recognised in their fields. The programme is suitable for students with both a natural or social science background as the choice of modules allows the programme to be tailored towards your individual interests and focus.
The course provides an opportunity for postgraduate learning and professional development for those who are unable to commit to a full MSc programme. It can be taken as an intensive course over one or two terms, or could be spread over two years for those studying part-time. The award of a PgCert requires the successful completion of four 15 credit modules, selected from those available on the MA/MSc Environment and Development.
