Course Overview

During the MSc (Research) you will undertake research training, a nine month research project, with a three month write up of your dissertation which will equip you for original work in your professional career and advanced level clinical research positions with the NHS, government and charities.

The course will train you to initiate medical sciences related research projects; to design, conduct and report independent and original research; to understand medical sciences research areas; to critically evaluate relevant literature; to develop problem solving skills; to analyse research data; to communicate effectively the results of research and scholarship; to understand scholarly conventions in the discipline area; and to have respect for intellectual integrity and the ethics of research.
