Vasso Ioannidou is a Professor of Finance at Lancaster University and a CEPR research fellow in financial economics. She is also a research fellow and council member of the European Banking Center (EBC). Prior to joining Lancaster in 2013, she was a Professor at the Department of Finance at Tilburg University. Her research covers topics related to the transmission mechanism of monetary policy, prudential regulation and supervision of banks, and topics related to the effects of asymmetric information and institutions on bank-firm lending relationships and access to finance. Her work has been published in top and high quality journals such as the Journal of Finance, the Journal of Financial Economics, Management Science, the Journal of Financial Intermediation, the Journal of International Economics, and the Review of Finance and it is regularly presented in leading international conferences. She earned a Master's degree and a doctorate in Economics from Boston College.
